Hawaii Road Map
This map showcases the state of Hawaii through the shapes and curves of its road network.
I used DEMs (Digital Elevation Model) from the Copernicus Satellite through GIS and Data Science methodologies to produce a visually stunning topographic map of Iceland. Read about it through my published tutorial in Better Programming, a programming journal hosted by Medium!
The direction of psoriasis UVB phototherapy treatment is tricky to estimate, leading patients and physicians through uncertainty during treatment. I used psoriasis data from the UK with three machine learning algorithms to reduce this uncertainty.
The English language has many different accents spanning across North America, but do bird songs hold similar correlations? The project used satellite imagery and bands from Landsat 8’s OLI sensor to investigate if bird songs are geographically linked to specific regions.
I used Python with OpenStreetMaps and Rasterio to extract road features and perform elevation coloring. I then processed the resulting images using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Blender.
This map showcases the state of Hawaii through the shapes and curves of its road network.
I made this map by merging SRTM data in Python's Rasterio and then exaggerrating the terrain in Blender.
Using flight data from 2012, I plotted flight courses in this region and applied some spherization techniques in Adobe Photoshop to achieve this result.
I used Python and OpenStreetMaps to create a map of Gold Coast, Australia and placed it on top of a surfboard display that I created in Adobe Illustrator.
I used Python and OpenStreetMaps to create this city map of Boston, and then placed it in a Boston Bruins theme that I designed in Adobe Illustrator.
I extracted Massachusetts road networks from Python and OpenStreetMaps to carve out this map of Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard + Nantucket.
I used SRTM data and Blender to create this exaggerated relief map of Australia.
scikit-learn, XGBoost, Matplotlib, GeoPandas, OpenCV + more. Created asynchronus ML products for a healthcare AI company during my current internship.
Object-oriented programming, multi-threading, modular design + more. Created bookkeeping applications and multi-threaded banking platforms as part of my master's coursework.
Created data-driven dashboards from current internship's Postgre database using Grafana (AWS). Designed and implemented threshold models using company data to predict product success.
ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS. Collected and manipulated Landsat 8, Copernicus, and SRTM satellite data for machine learning applications + data analyses.
Frontend development/web development. Developed a website for my master's coursework that calculates ocean plastic waste percentage. Implemented my design frameworks from Figma to code.
I am independently learning iOS development and created a notetaking app following a comprehensive online tutorial. Integrated the app with a Firebase database fordata storage and retrieval.
Modified Postgres database by implementing new tables for new software in staging and production.
Used AWS S3 to store machine learning models, training data, and product information, enabling efficient and scalable storage at current internship.
Vector art, photo editing, and 3D modeling using Adobe CC(Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom), Blender, and Inkscape.
I am a Massachusetts native with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. I had an incredible study abroad experience in Gold Coast, Australia, which inspired me greatly. Soon after graduating from St. Anselm College, I moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom for my Master's degree Computer Science at Newcastle University. I am currently a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at MajorBoost, an innovative company focused on advancing healthcare through the application of AI.
Despite my empirical trajectory in school, I studied Latin for 5 years through high school and college, translating the works of Virgil, Homer, Ovid, and other ancient authors. These studies evolved into a passion for language learning, leading me to a Mandarin Chinese in my final year of college. I especially enjoyed acquiring Chinese grammar and reflecting on its contrast with Indo-European languages.
Outside of my studies, I love painting, graphic design, photography, and traveling. I have been to 42 states and hope to hit all 50 someday!
